ok, where was i. oh yeah, so we got done with the empire state building and it was getting to about four thirty so we figured we would find times square real quick and then get back to change for going out and dinner. finding times square was a bit tricky cause i am a moron, but finally i did my second tourist thing and asked a shop owner for directions... boy that is embarrasing. so we got to times square and looked at all the crap around then found the

subway. this is where the fun really began, the nyc subway is hard to navigate, and everyone who works in those booths are the rejects from mcdonalds or some other fast food joint, so you can imagine the caliber of person they are, hense the amount of confusing help you get from them. so evenually we figured out how to get back to the upper east side to change and go out.
well dinner was a suprise for kate, she had no idea what i had planned, and i knew she would like it. we got to midtown and were walking and all of the sudden we go in this door

and the door closes behind us and we are in a dark room. this wierd guy is in the room talking about something or another, and all the sudden the cieling starts comming down on you. well, the place was the
jekyll and hyde club, which is a haunted four floor building with a central atrium... part of the fun is finding the batrooms which are hidden through the floors. i know i know, its cheasy but a lot of fun if you can get into it, they have acts that go on all the time like a dead band that plays, and actually on our floor they had a contest that kate won by guessing how many eyeballs were in this jar. she got some keychain or something after having to take one of the eyeballs out to see what she won. it all worked out perfect. about a hundred dollars later, we packed up the leftovers (that i gave to a homeless guy) and headed out to the bars.
first place we went was a place i have been before
sutton place right in midtown. nice place, but of course expensive as hell. so after a few drinks there, we decided to find a karaoke bar, which the bartender told us of one right by where we were staying in the upper east side called
iggys which is definatly a dive, but tons of fun untill i get on stage. now i have sung a lot of karaoke and i know im not horrible, but i got on stage and sure enough the ten people still there at two am leave, making me look hoorible. the dj made fun of me and everything, even though later he told me he was joking. what it was is everyone was toghether and they were on their way out just as i got up, yeah thats it... so we stayed a little longer and walked back to go to bed. man, i havn't even got to sunday yet...
