traveling

For those of you who don't know I am back in GA!! I got back wednesday afternoon and have been non stop since I got back with all the catching up at work and catching up at home. The trip went well, very stressfull towards the end which leads me to believe I did something wrong to deserve some bad Karma. So here it is, tuesday, the day before I am to fly back to GA. I am in the mine, and I drove my rental car there so I can leave when I want (instead of the carpool I have been taking). I have about 4 major things that need to get done before I leave west virginia and I have an hour and a half to get it done. See the shovel runs 24 hours a day with two breaks at shift changes. Due to blasting schedules, you have very limited time to get everything done. Well last minute they decide to delay the blast making it so I have to do all my work in about an hour. So I get a ride to the shovel, and get all my tools to do the last 4 things I need to do. I also have a major stomach ache at this time accompanied by the bad side effects (if you know what I mean). So there I was rushing like crazy, not feeling well, trying to get the hell out of West Virginia. I do get all my work done, workign between blasting finally at about 6 PM. Get a ride back to my rental car at the office, and realize I am missing my keys. Oh yeah, I am about an hour and a half from the city I am staying at and I am in the middle of a mine, with no keys. After hours of searching I realize they must have dropped close the shovel which has moved and rolled over the keys. There is no recovery at that point. So i get a ride back and have to pay 500 to get the car towed and new keys made... YAY!!

Wednesday comes, I get on the plane no problem, sitting in a seat with no one next to me thinking the bad luck is over. It wasn't folks. The fattest person I have seen on a plane gets up on the plane and almost tilts the whole thing as she gets on. I am not paying attention as I am in my own bliss knowing i am this close to out of WV. Sure as shit the lady sits right next to me. And she isn't cool about it trying to take up less space she spreads out putting me up against the wall. I am too nice to say something and too stuck to get out and find another seat. Just then, the guy in front of me decides to lean his seat back, and the people behind me decide to kick the seat. At this point it was all obvoiusly a test of my nerves so I buckled in, and got my mind to a happy place, popped in stir crazy in the laptop and enjoyed the flight cramped in the corner of a plane. As soon as I landed in ATL, everything was back to normal luck wise as I took kellie out for her 21st birthday and nothing went wrong... for me at least. She threw up a few times, once on the bar but hey, you only turn 21 once.

Well as it goes, I am leaving again on sunday for Canada. I am excited to go because I will be working with all new machines, but I will be alone so if something goes wrong I am the "expert" I will be in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada and for those of you who know me well know how I feel about Canadians. I hear it is real nice up there this time of the year, however in the winter it gets as low as -40 so hopefully I wont be there that long. I will give some updates about my trip when I get some.
