Death Hypothesis

First, I would like to make a small disclaimer. If you are religious or have a certain idea on what happens when people die, or know someone who has died recently, or would be in any way offended by the talk of death, stop reading here. For those of you who want to know how my brain works, or my hypothesis on death... read on

The way this works is no one truly dies except for in two situations. First is old age, where there is nothing you can do about that because obviously no one lives forever, and the second would be suicide since that is something you bring on yourself. The best way to get across what happens is to use an example of a car crash. Say you are driving down the road and you nod off for a second to wake up at the last second just missing that tractor trailer going the other direction. Yeah, your heart is beating 140 times a minute but you live to nod off another day. Well what happened there is you died in some dimension, but you are still alive in yours. When I start talking about dimensions people usually get lost here and think of some space age thing that is completely impossible, but it is not so much like that. See as life goes on you have an infinite number of parallel lives and when you "die" only one of those drops off. When you get in that near miss accident you died in someone else’s life or dimension, say a friend of yours who is pretty bummed about the whole situation. However, lucky for you, you are still alive and fine with your friend where you are only telling a story of how your life is going to change for the better because of your near miss accident. On the other side, when someone you know dies, they are still alive in their dimension hanging out with you like nothing happened. Unless of course they die of old age or suicide, like I mentioned before. It is an easy way to deal with death, and a way to realize that you should live your life as crazy as possible since you can't die unless you do it on purpose. I have thought about this for years now, and it is just as crazy or sane as any other idea I have heard of e.g. reincarnation, heaven, hell, 40 something virgins... As everyone knows, no one knows what really happens with death so remember this is just a hypothesis. Possibly I think this way because I am an engineer and I think things through as scientific as possible (multiple dimensions are used in some scientific theory), but please comment on any possible loop holes or problems you have with all this.

Several points to ponder Nelke:

1. Your hypothesis is very western in thinking. In most of the world people die by the second because they have no food, is this their own doing?

2. Someone could decide to Nuke Atlanta tomorrow, and we'll all be dead. Who wants that? Not me!

I say this hypothesis is very western because you are automatically reading-in or supplanting a western standard of living level of living and trying to apply it across the total finality of the human condition. this attempt to explain death fits fine if you're in the western world because generally people don't die unless they kill themselves or get old. However, you ignore the vastness of suffering which is fact is almost every other part of the world.
