sprint cell phone insurance
ok i just found the biggest bullshit ever invented. sprint pcs insurance charges you 5 dollars a month to have. i understand this. if you lose, break, explode your phone, they should replace it. read a few blogs down, and you will see i lost my phone to the highway whilst my bag decided to open up and thow up its contents. to re-cap real quick, i went to sprint, had to buy a new phone, becuse the replacement would take forever. well i just talked to the replacement people and she said that i would need to pay a 50 dollar deductable to get a new phone. i was going to get my phone and have a spare in case something happened. well i guess i'm not going to do that, and i am cancelling my sprint insurance. i used to like sprint, but every day something happens that makes me want to leave. vive la revolution. can anyone give me any educated insight on a better company (i don't want to hear "verison or cingular or whatever cause they are good", i need some solid evidance here).

First off, I have much better luck buying my cell phones from an electronics store such as BestBuy or Circuit City and buying THEIR service plan for the phone. They aren't out to totally screw you.
2nd, I recently switched from Sprint to Verizon and am much happier. Why? First off soo many people have Verizon and talking to another Verizon caller doesn't count against your minutes( IN calling). 2nd their signal strength is far stronger and covers a larger area. In middle of my old office (concrete walls and lead everwhere to stop the xrays) I got no signal with my Sprint phone for 3 out or 4 bars with Verizon. I had a really awesome Sprint phone, but I often found the converstations were choppy and drowned out, like they were compressing the data too much. My converstations so far with Verizon have been much clearer.
I've always been a big Sprint fan and been treated well by them....I've gotten many free phones and upgrades. But lately I feel in the same boat as you by being unhappy with my service....I don't get service anywhere...I am constantly roaming and if I am in a building forget it....Is it time to switch?
