memory like a sieve
if you havent noticed, i like input. i like to know who is reading and what you think. i have probably lost some fans in the past but i think i still have some out there. what i want to know from you today.... damn i can't remember. ok, lets talk about memory. i am finding out mine is absolutly horrible. right now i am working on three things, and i totally forgot what i wanted to blog, ask kate how bad it is. funny enough though, i remember somethings, not necesssarily more important than others, just some things. i think it is a problem, i think i have a mix of adult a.d.d. and obsessive compulsive disorder and some memory thing all tied together, and i have just fought it for this long which is how i got an engineering degree. this is scary, any ideas?
-- omg i just remembered, right after i published... ok this is what i want to know from y'all: origin of phrases, i know or can find the origin of most phrases, and i want to know if you have any you want interpreted, for example; "the whole nine yards" comes from world war two, where the fifty caliber guns had nine yards (twenty seven feet) of ammunition. if they fired the whole thing they fired "the whole nine yards". let me know some phrases, and i will see if i know. or you can be a dick about it and not comment. piece

Dont know if this is true or not, but someone told be back during the colonial days, Colonists were shipping fertilzers over from england. During the treck methane gas would collect in the hull of the ships were this stuff was stored. So if anyone went down below with a lantern (Boom) a hole would be blown in the ship and it would sink. Therefore, in the shipyards of England, there would be all on this manure, being prepared to load abored. They started marking the crates as "Ship high in transit" just the initials were used to mark the crates and that is where the word "Shit" came from. Dont know if it is true or not. Also heard a similar story, relating to "For un carnal knowledge"
Chris
ah, very good one. Fornecation Under Consent of the King is back during the surfs and kings, the surfs needed the kings consent to have sex. A lot of people believe the other one though which is untrue.
